Real estate is not my first profession. But it is my passion. Real estate allows me to combine the skills I’ve built from my previous professions and serve people in an extremely rewarding manner. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a genuine smile spreading across the face of a buyer who has just found and successfully negotiated the perfect home, or the joy of a seller who is taking a large check to the bank and moving onto the next phase of their life.
I’ve worked in the banking industry, taught school as a marketing education teacher, and then a reading specialist for ten years, and worked in the central office of the county school system in the evaluation and research department.
But for the past four years, I have happily been working in real estate.
I am the mother of two incredibly wonderful teenagers (okay, slightly biased opinion but true nonetheless), the wife of fabulously supportive husband and owner of a highly energetic beagle.
My hobbies include reading, volunteering for Cancer Society, PTSA, Cystic Fibrosis, and the Food Bank of NC. I love any outdoor activity and am learning to understand a few different sports. (I have to honestly say I am not extremely athletic, but I’m willing to try anything once, on a recreational level.) Skiing, snow and water, and boating are two activities I enjoy.
I continue to focus on education, by teaching seminars for other real estate professionals. My favorite class is detailing how to perform an accurate market analysis of a property.
